Hime Daruma [Clarinet Trio]

This piece was composed based on the impression of the "Dogo Hime Daruma," a traditional craft from Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. It captures the overall impression of a Daruma doll, combined with the loveliness and gentleness of the Hime Daruma's appearance, and the warm atmosphere of Dogo. The main theme, presented at the beginning, is accompanied by several motifs introduced later, and is repeated many times, sometimes changing its form. It is recommended to build the music around this theme. Each part plays an equal role, and various devices are incorporated, such as a symmetrical structure around the middle of the piece and the use of polyrhythms. Therefore, players are encouraged to strongly be aware of their own role and the ensemble between parts.
