Nomura Hideki
Born in Yokohama City, graduated from Kanagawa Prefectural Kawawa High School, and Kunitachi College of Music (saxophone major), and completed the diploma course at Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi (now Shobi College of Music). During his time at university, he performed in the 37th Totsuka Classical Concert. He studied saxophone under Yuichi Omuro, Kazuo Tomioka, and Keiji Shimoji, conducting under Masamitsu Takashina, and wind orchestra conducting under Tadao Nakazawa. His exceptional teaching skills have led many groups to prefectural and national competitions in wind ensemble, ensemble, and various solo contests.
Currently, he is active as a saxophonist in the Kudacchi SAX Orchestra, Quintet Plus, and Kunitachi Gakusodan. He serves as the permanent conductor for the Yomiuri Nippon Television Culture Center Ebisu Esplanade Orchestra, the Hitachiota Citizens Wind Orchestra (also serving as an instructor for ensemble and saxophone at the Hitachiota Parti Music Seminar), and the Hitachiomika Wind Orchestra. He is also the music director/conductor for the Takahagi Citizens Wind Orchestra, the Daito Bunka University Wind Orchestra, and the percussion unit "Partissimo!!". His activities are diverse, including guest conducting for the Moire Saxophone Ensemble, conducting and instructing orchestras and wind ensembles in various locations, and composing/arranging for various ensembles.
