YMD Music Publishing offers digital sheet music for sale (excluding some works). Digital sheet music can be purchased in download format from the Piascore Sheet Music Store.

Digital sheet music is handled differently from printed sheet music. Please read and understand the following precautions before making your purchase.

About Purchasing and Using Digital Sheet Music

• YMD Music's digital sheet music offers full scores and individual part scores for separate purchase. This is because it is intended for use on the purchaser's own tablet device. We do not offer bundled sales.
• Digital sheet music is intended for use on the user's (performer's) own tablet device. Please purchase and use it yourself.
• Group representatives, sheet music managers, or event organizers cannot purchase digital sheet music and distribute it to performers (users). Copying data from a purchaser's device to another user's device constitutes "reproduction." Under copyright law (Article 21: Right of Reproduction), the right to reproduce a copyrighted work is exclusively held by the copyright holder. Since digital sheet music is intended for the purchaser's own use, distributing it without the permission of the rights holder is not permitted.
• YMD MUSIC WEB SHOP does not sell digital sheet music.
• YMD Music's digital sheet music cannot be purchased from outside Japan.
  Electronic sheet music cannot be purchased from outside Japan. If you would like to purchase sheet music from outside Japan, please use Golden Hearts Publications Global Store.

About Reproduction and Printing of Digital Sheet Music

• Digital sheet music may be printed for personal use only, within the scope of private use as defined by copyright law.
• Group representatives, etc., cannot purchase data and lend it to a third party (performer, etc.) by printing it, regardless of the number of copies purchased. This is because it does not fall under cases where copyright is restricted as defined by copyright law (such as reproduction for private use, reproduction in schools or other educational institutions), and therefore, distributing or lending printed materials to anyone other than the purchaser may infringe on the right of reproduction under copyright law.
• The following actions constitute reproduction and cannot be performed without the permission of the rights holder:
  
  • Group representatives, sheet music managers, or event organizers collectively purchasing and distributing digital data (e.g., emailing, sharing via cloud storage, etc.) to users (performers, conductors, etc.).
  • Purchasing on behalf of a user and transferring the digital data to the user's tablet device.
  • Printing more copies than purchased and distributing them to third parties.
  • Purchasing by schools or other educational institutions and sharing digital data with children, pupils, or students, or distributing printed copies of digital data. (※This does not fall under the exceptions of Article 35 of the Copyright Act.)
  • Other reproductions made without the permission of the copyright holder and publisher.
• YMD Music does not grant any reproduction permissions for digital sheet music as a sheet music publisher. Please be aware of this in advance.
• If, due to unavoidable circumstances, an application for reproduction permission for digital sheet music is required, please obtain permission regarding the terms of service from Piascore Co., Ltd., the seller, and permission regarding copyright from the copyright holder or copyright management organization (hereinafter referred to as "rights holder") before applying to our company. Please note that if permission from Piascore Co., Ltd. and the rights holder cannot be confirmed, our company will not be able to respond to any reproduction permission requests.
• If you intend to use printed sheet music, we recommend purchasing printed sheet music, which is printed on paper that is easy on the eyes.

About Password Removal and Sharing (Circumvention of Technological Protection Measures)

• Digital sheet music sold on the Piascore Sheet Music Store has a viewing password set as a "technological protection measure" for copyright protection.
• Removing viewing passwords or circumventing other technological restrictions is prohibited by copyright law. Furthermore, allowing a third party to use, lend, transfer, change the name of, or sell the password is prohibited by the terms of use of the Piascore Sheet Music Store.
• Please refrain from sharing the viewing password for your purchased digital sheet music with third parties. Sharing passwords may induce unauthorized reproduction or use and may be considered aiding copyright infringement.
