Toshimi Takefuji

Born in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture in 1991. Began playing percussion in high school and graduated from Hiroshima University, Faculty of Education, Department IV (Lifelong Activity Education), Music Culture Course, with a major in percussion. Completed the Master's Program in Music Culture Education, Lifelong Activity Education, Graduate School of Education, Hiroshima University, with a major in composition. Studied composition under Takashi Tokunaga and percussion under Sumiko Sato. Awards include the Jury's Special Award at the 14th TIAA All Japan Composer Competition (Chamber Music Division).
