Song of Bygone Days ~ for piccolo and 4 flutes [Flute Quintet]
This piece was exhibited at the "Onshin" composer group's work presentation. The title comes from Chuya Nakahara's poetry collection "Songs of Bygone Days" because the premiere was held in Yumaguchi Yuda Onsen, Yamaguchi Prefecture, but there is no direct thematic relation to the work itself. This piece was composed by the composer while recalling his university days spent in Yamaguchi. The instrumentation is a flute quintet including a piccolo, derived from the only chamber music piece composed during his university years.
