My Neighbor Totoro Medley [Saxophone Quartet]

The Studio Ghibli animated feature film "My Neighbor Totoro," released in 1988, tells the story of the sisters Satsuki and Mei and their interactions with Totoro, a mysterious creature said to be visible only to children. Set in rural Japan, the film leaves a lasting impression with its depiction of nature and a beautiful worldview.

This work is a medley of "Sanpo," "The Village in May," "Soot Sprites," "The Path of the Wind," "Catbus," and "My Neighbor Totoro." In arranging this piece, I aimed to express the world of Totoro with four saxophones. Please prioritize switching between each piece and playing with clear dynamics. I've attempted to reproduce the sounds of nature by using modern playing techniques in places. If slap tonguing is difficult, please play using regular techniques. (Yuto Yamada)
