The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires [Saxophone Quartet & Piano]

《The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (Spanish: Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas)》 is a work by Argentine composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992).
One of Piazzolla's representative works is "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires." However, unlike Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," it was not originally conceived as a suite, and each movement was written as an independent piece.
The first to be composed was "Summer of Buenos Aires (Verano Porteño)," which came into being in 1965 as part of a stage score. Subsequently, "Autumn," "Winter," and "Spring" were added between 1969 and 1970, and in later years, they began to be performed collectively as "The Four Seasons."
This arrangement retains the original's passion and dynamism while creating a more three-dimensional and colorful sound. The saxophone's diverse expressive power and the piano's rhythmic propulsion respond to each other, forming an arrangement that accentuates the sensuality and dynamism of tango.
