The Sorcerer's Apprentice [Saxophone Octet]

The Sorcerer's Apprentice (French: L'apprenti sorcier) is an orchestral work composed by French composer Paul Dukas in 1897. Its origin is a French translation of the poem "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (Der Zauberlehrling) by the German literary master Goethe, and its subtitle is "Scherzo after a Ballad by Goethe." It is the most famous masterpiece among Dukas's works.
It has a solid form, a sonata form consisting of an introduction, exposition, development, recapitulation, and coda. Four themes are presented in the introduction, and the piece develops from there. It evokes the imagery of the poem.
This saxophone octet arrangement aims to faithfully reproduce the grandeur and intricacy of the original piece without compromising it, while allowing listeners to enjoy the rich sound of a saxophone ensemble. (Yuto Yamada)
