"Golliwogg's Cakewalk" is one of the pieces in the piano suite "Children's Corner" by French composer Claude Debussy, and it is arguably the most famous piece in the collection. It was first performed in Paris in 1908. The cakewalk is a type of African American dance. This arrangement is written for small wind ensembles and faithfully orchestrates the original work. It is advisable to pay close attention to the agogics and dynamics characteristic of modern French compositions. (Yuto Yamada)
